Fluoride

There are many different views on fluoride. Some people disapprove of adding fluoride to drinking water because too much fluoride causes the bones to become brittle and increases fracture rates. It can cause many health problems such as bone cancer, osteoporosis, arthritis, hyperactive thyroid, obesity, depression, brain damage, mottled teeth discoloration and many more.
Personally, I think adding  fluoride to drinking water is a good idea if it is applied in small amounts. Most of the side effects only occur when there is too much fluoride. If there is only a moderate amount, many of those side effects would not be as serious. Flouride can prevent tooth decay by helping teeth fight against bacteria in plaque if it is used in reasonable amounts.
Flouride can be used in toothpatse and mouthwash now. This is because we have made a flouride abrasive combination that works. This combination is flouride and calcium pyrophosphate. Other combinations that have helped the toothpaste business are stannous fluoride, sodium fluoride, and sodium monofluorophosphate.
To me, the most dangerous side effects of using fluoride in drinking water are bone cancer and arthritis. These are dangerous because they are already problems many people face and if fluoride is added to drinking water these problems will only increase. We need to find a cure for these issues before we increase the risk of getting them.
